What you’ll need:
- weight 4 yarn ( any color)
- 4.5 mm hook
- stitch markers
- blocking mats (optional)
- scissors
- needles to sew ends
Pattern Abbreviations and Notes:
US Terminology
sc= single crochet
dec= single crochet decrease (invisible decrease method)
ch= chain
slst= slip stitch
sts= stitches
sc3tog= single crochet decrease 3 stitches instead of 2
The number in front of the abbreviation is how many you will need to do. Example; 2sc = 2 single crochets in 2 separate stitches.
I recommend blocking each flag before making the garland for the best results.

Creating the Garland
After blocking each flag (to make them lay flat) determine what your garland pattern will be (if using multiple colors). I did 9 flags and my garland reaches approx. 6 ft.
Then ch 30, sc across the top of 1 of the flags, 10 ch, and attach the next flag. Repeat this until all flags are attached. ch 30 and tie a knot to finish off.
Alternative: Take a long strand of yarn and string your flags on it.
Note: this option will make the flags move on the string.
Congrats on finishing your Garland!!
